Patient Rights

  • You have the right to the considerate care that you need, with full respect of your dignity regardless of your nationality, color, age, religion, origin, gender and disability.
  • You have the right to know the name of the physician, nurses & staff member involved in your treatment.
  • You have the right to refuse treatment after knowing and being informed of the medical consequences
  • You have the right to expect your personal privacy to be respected to the fullest extent consistent with the care prescribed for you.
  • You have the right to expect that all communications and other records pertaining to your care including the source of payment be kept confidential
  • You have the right to refuse signing the consent form for any test that you feel you did not have proper information about
  • You have the right to know the nature and inherent risks of any procedure to which you have given consent
  • You have the right to be discharged from the Hospital against the physician advice after signing the form (DAMA) & according to the Rules of Ministry of Health
  • You have the right to choose the person who represents you in signing the Hospital documents including release of information
  • You have the right to obtain any information or documents such as medical reports, sick leaves, etc. as documented in our medical charts
  • Convenient atmosphere should be provided for you where you can discuss openly and in full confidentiality everything about your illness
  • You have the right to know the reason for any test or diagnostic procedures that will be done and who is going to do them
  • You have the right to request second opinion if necessary & participate in care plan & decisions, and your choices to be respected
  • You have the right to know from your physician -in a language that you understand- all the information about your case, diagnosis and the treatment plan and other instructions about the follow up care
  • You have the right to request a review of the Hospital bill and to receive explanation of it

Patient Responsibilities

  • Know and follow the law of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Hospital’s Rules & Regulations as explained to you by the Hospital Staff.
  • Be cooperative and follow the recommendations given to you by your Physician, nurses or allied health personnel
  • Notify your Physician or the Head Nurse if you do not understand your diagnosis, treatment.
  • Notify the Head Nurse, Physician of any dissatisfaction you may have in regards to your care at the Hospital.
  • Be considerate of the rights of other patients and Hospital personnel and assist in the control of noise, smoking and other possible sources of unnecessary disturbance or discomfort.
  • Help in maintaining Hospital properties -whether inside or outside your room- from destruction
  • Accept and pay all your financial obligations associated with your care, admission or any other services
  • Fill & Sign all forms requested by Hospital when having consultation, tests or in case you want to be discharged against medical advice (DAMA), except emergency care.
  • Smoking is not allowed in the Hospital premises
